  • It''s refreshing to see a large credit union that still gets it. They understand the CU philosophy and don''t seem willing to sacrifice members'' financial health in order to prop up ROA (and management incentives). The fact that Blaine earns far less than the CEOs of some CUs a fraction the size of SECU speaks volumes, as well. Great article!

  • SECU is a mega-size credit union that provides an incalculable benefit to the lives of rank-and-file members. Their product pricing is so member-centric as to seem insane to many other CUs, but SECU''s leadership team authentically believes in the members-helping-members nature of a co-op.
