  • Good article. I think that members want instant loan approval...having to wait even a few hours is too long. GMAC can give you a credit approval in seconds! If we (Credit Unions) are to compete, we need to intrduce the same convenience to our members.

  • As VP of lending it is my responsibility to ensure that our 150 thousand members and lending personnel alike have access to lending technologies (both direct & indirect) that exemplifies the message you have so eloquently made. We have found that working with a “Highly Specialized” lending technology company very essential to advancing our lending creativity, objectives and growth. I’m glad you have addressed this issue and are holding webinars to possibly improve it… because we have long felt this to be a “weakness” of the credit union system as a whole. GOOD JOB!

  • Great information and timing, in fact we just looked at a very impressive lending system; "LoansPQ" that incorporates our members’ abilities to completely interact with the entire loan process in a 24/7, real time environment. We’ll let you know how it works out for us!

  • "Instant gratification, willingness to "play-the- numbers" and disregard for basic lending risk, were among the keys to past banking debacles. Must we experience that again for the x-Generation, or should someone say "Enough!"
