There must be something in the soil, because big things are happening in Kansas. Statewide, the credit union industry strengthened ahead of national trends in assets, shares, and loans in 2010, with a 5.18% year-over-year growth in total capital and more than 27,000 new members welcomed into the fold as of June 2010.
The state ranked third in loan growth (6.40%), third in member growth (4.71%, more than four times the national average), and first in auto loans per members (25.50%) annually. As of 2Q 2010, here are the 10 largest Kansas credit unions listed by asset size.

Credit Union 1 of Kansas is now Quest Credit Union. They consolidated with Credit Unions United in May of 2010. Thanks!
