Frequently Asked Questions


Q: I am unable to see any of the videos on CUtv.

A: There could be three possible reasons why you are having this problem:

  1. Your flash player is not updated. Update it by downloading the most updated player here.

  2. Check your internet options. If you go into internet options in your browser, click on the “connections tab”, then “LAN settings”, then uncheck all of the boxes.

  3. Your firewall or internal blocked sites list may be preventing you from viewing streaming video. In this case, you will have to contact your IT personnel there to unblock this function on your site.

 

Q: I am getting this error message when trying to view content on CUtv:

The video you are trying to watch is currently unavailable. Please check back soon.

CUtv Error

A: Please check with your IT department about these three potential quick fixes:

  1. Content Filter
  2. Proxy
  3. Firewall Rules/Policies

Q: I am not seeing the video player like the screen shot below:

Not Seeing Video

A: If the player is not loading and your screen looks like the screen shot above, you will need to have your IT Personnel put URL filtering exceptions into both url blocking and content filters for:

  1. "brightcove.com"
  2. "link.brightcove.com"
  3. "brightcove.vo.llnwd.net"
