Corporates Taking More of Credit Union Investments

Strong share growth coupled with paltry loan growth led to a $27 billion boost in credit union investments in the first quarter of 2003. The corporate system took in half of these new investments, pushing total shares for all corporates to $74.1 billion, excluding U.S. Central. The corporate system, which usually manages approximately 1/3 of credit union investments, took in half of the $27 billion of new investments, pushing total shares for all corporates, excluding U.S. Central, to $74.1 billion.
