Which state’s members have the most accounts on average?

 
 

Credit unions strive to get their members to open multiple accounts with them so that they can save members as much money as possible and build deeper relationships. Oregon credit unions have the highest average number of accounts per member, with each member averaging 2.65 loan and share accounts. Credit unions in Utah are right on their heels with 2.64 accounts per member, while rounding out the rest of the top five were Wisconsin, Minnesota, and South Dakota. The industry average for FirstLook credit unions as of December 31, 2012 was 2.37 accounts.
