Celebrate The Cooperative Difference

Mid-Minnesota Federal Credit Union, is promoting the cooperative difference on International Credit Union Day.

Communities across the country are feeling the cooperative love on 2011 International Credit Union Day on October 20. This year’s theme, “Credit Unions Build a Better World,” is especially timely given the nationwide "occupy" protests, ongoing economic stagnation, and steady unemployment.

Credit unions are using International Credit Union Day to develop better relationships with existing members and connect with potential new members. Callahan & Associates spoke with three credit union executives — from Redwood Credit Union, Consumers Credit Union, and Mid-Minnesota Federal Credit Union — about their plans to mark this day. Listen to their insight on what this day means for the cooperative movement below.

Finally, Marnie Perfetti, director of marketing and buisness development for Mid-Minnesota Federal Credit Union ($218.2M, Baxter, MN), talks about the credit union's multi-facted food drive to help those in need before the holiday season.
