Whose Side Are Directors Really On? At least in Credit Unions we all Know…

Individual directors who oversaw the largest failures in history continue to skate from board to board and earn tidy sums.

 
 

A recent New York Times article discussed the dysfunction of many well-paid boards. Individual directors who oversaw the largest failures in history continue to skate from board to board and earn tidy sums.

Now compare that to credit union boards. Large payouts for sub-standard oversight? Nope – just the opposite is true with extreme dedication for no pay.

While all boards are supposed to be looking out for shareholder interests, the least paid seem to be doing the best job – credit unions.
